Reviewer: Mike the Soldier. Fun Read with Some Holes.
Entertaining book. Left out some key information, such as what happened to the troops in Korea--not even a mention--but fun nonetheless.

This is one of my favorite books and it accurately shows some of the real challenges currently facing nations today. Although the book centers on the US vs China the lessons it teaches are universal. Great book! Easy Read! Extremely fast paced! I literally ready this book cover to cover stopping only to get food and water and it took me about 10hrs....

Reviewer: B1948J. Not bad but not great.
Not a bad novel. But not great either. It brought up some things to think about in terms of America's readiness for a whole new way of warfare. And if that was the goal then it was successful. But from a literary standpoint it was only OK. The flow of the story was jerky, characters were only moderately developed, and the ending left a lot of threads undone.

Reviewer: Glen R. Carpenter. Sweet...
I think I read most every thing Clancy wrote and oddly enough this was as good. More importantly I spent 3 years at Schofield Barracks and 3 years before that with the ASA In Vietnam and Fort Bragg. This a treat and a bit of a trip down memory lane. I can feel the good editing through out. Give us another one of this Ana double the page count. I know the tale will be good!

Reviewer: JFKSAGE. Shows the vulnerability of our military in the digital age
If you like Tom Clancy, you will like this book. It is as if written by him minus his stirring adjectives.

Reviewer: Vytautas Butrimas. Tom Clancy déjà vu.
Good read but can tell a well worn template was used. The violence could have been less. Liked the use of the Aurora Vulnerability but it is based on a law of physics rather than a malware

Reviewer: Torry L Hickson. The cyber 9/11.
Loved the thought process put into the book as well as the naval and cyber element. Really showcases how a war will probably be fought with a near peer in the future.

Reviewer: Ralph W Kendall Jr. OMG We are doomed!
A very frightening prospect, given the extent to which our current administrations and companies have given either intentional or not access to our defense systems. Watching the plot develop, turn after turn, the reader is brought to the realization that transperancy is a mistake when it comes to defense and cultural protection. We have given away our birthright. Our politicians are not to be trusted.

Reviewer: Andrew Hudson. A modern warfare classic.
This is a book on how the next high tech war will be fought. Also a good read.

Reviewer: ZeldaBarbie99. Interesting read.
I was required to read this book for school and found myself actually liking the book overall. It was interesting to draw the parallels to current day.

The only thing that disappointed me with this book was the ending. I just felt like there wasn't much closure and the book just ended. Overall I definitely recommend this book to read if you are a fan of the old Tom Clancy books.

Reviewer: Frank Gonzalez. I also enjoyed the twist of the psycho Asian female.
The authors explained that although the book was fiction, the technology depicted in the novel, was in fact technology already deployed in the field, even if half of that statement is true, all I can say is WOW. I also enjoyed the twist of the psycho Asian female, who was striking terror into the occupation Chinese forces, nice.

Reviewer: Tim Witten.
I really enjoyed this book, it spoke to my experiences in the IT world. The author discussed real world concerns about how we build, maintain, and secure systems vital to our economy and defense.
I liked the format, took me back to when I discovered Clancy.

Several story's arcs could have used a bit more fleshing out and am some drug a bit, but the story is sound and interesting.

Reviewer: Kindle Customer. Very good.
Good novel, had me hooked then I thought the was very sudden an abrupt

Reviewer: E. Yurcisin. The next Tom Clancy modern war thrillers.
Great read! This is a page turner in the guise of the original Tom Clancy books. The book brings an innovative look at the changing technology implications on World War III. The book is captivating and details how the US’s reliance on foreign technology manufacturers has weakened the country’s defenses. The characters are well developed which engages the reader. The storytelling and depiction of modern warfare is riveting. This book is on par with Clancy’s “Red Storm Rising” in its ability to depict modern technology and tactics. This is a great read.

Reviewer: Santa Fe Railfan. Ghost Fleet - but not a Clancy.
Somewhat in a Tom Clancy fashion but not quite in his class. I was impressed, however, with the accuracy of name places in Hawaii and the Bay Area. I found it strange that although MCB Kaneohe was mentioned early it never was mentioned at the end, especially since all sea action was to the North of that base. But like Clancy, the scenarios presented are very reasonable and scarily possible.

Reviewer: 2007pony. Excellent.
Very exciting. Techno thriller like the early Tom Clancy books. The art of war references were educational and the rail gun weapon was cool

Reviewer: The Known Ranger.
The opening and closing thirds of the book involving the battle technology and strategy are first rate. The middle third of the book, designed to infuse the story with human elements was a little weak and occasionally corny, except for the guerilla tactical combat sequences. The editor should have fixed this.

Reviewer: Hugh S Joslyn. Interesting technology scenario.
I read a non fiction book by the same author about the military and robotics. The plot in Ghost fleet was mostly believable because of how the technology was used. The characters had some development and weren't too one dimensional. In my mind the book could have been a little longer and more developed. I think the book as is will appeal to more people however.

Reviewer: Amazon Customer. Page Turner; Near Future Science Fiction.
Page turner, thought provoking and entertaining. It’s unlikely that WW3 will go down exactly like this, but it raises some great points about the possible future trajectory of international relations if we fail to address them soon.

Reviewer: J. Goodnight. Good, but not a great read!
Great lead in to main story concept. Thought the final ending was way too short given the amount of anticipation built up in the preliminary chapters. Story jumped around quite a bit and took a little bit of thought to keep tabs on all players in the story. End of story also left a lot of questions unanswered. Won't go into detail as I don't want to be a spoiler. Overall, a good read!

I usually do not read many books, however, I heard the author's interview in NPR and got interested in the book. However, I forgot to buy it. A few months latter I heard the name of the book again and this time a I bought it. It is a great read with a lot of details of what the future of war could become. It is a story about how technology past and future can be our greatest strength and weakness in war.

Reviewer: Amazon Customer. Wow! Fantastic Book.
I don't remember some of the content. What I do remember is that I absolutely loved this book! I have recommended it to many friends. It is the only book probably, that I read almost all of the footnotes! I loved the links taking me there and the information supplemented my knowledge. It is a must read!

Reviewer: Robert R Derbenti. Malware.
Gripping story, dramatic illustration of need to protect our technology from theft.

Reviewer: Chris Thatcher. A good read worth your time.
Didn't think I would enjoy this book after the first few pages but it got better and better and I ended up not being able to put it down.

As with many books towards the end it was a bit rushed. Quite plausible and some great ideas.
Give it a try and I don't think you'll be disappointed.
