Battery Problem, if you do not mind to charge your watch every 12 hours then go for it.

Battery life is not even close to what is advertised for 40mm cellular. I bought the 40mm with cellular. I have disabled pretty much everything on the watch. I have all of the phone mirroring disabled and most notifications disabled. I disable the cellular radio. After completing all of these power saving measures, i am still lucky if I get 16 hours. If I enable GPS or cellular for any length of time, the watch is lucky to stay on for 3 to 5 hours. I figured the problem might be software so I sat on it and Amazon’s 4 week return window has expired. Now, here I am at the apple store and the “geniuses” are claiming there is nothing they can do since I didn’t purchase at an apple store. My opinion, don’t buy an apple watch 5. if you do, don’t buy at Amazon.

Worst experience ever!!! I bought it in Nov and it still doesn’t work. All I get is Sprint and Apple pointing the finger at each other, and Amazon just washing their hands. None of them resolving the problem.

Can’t use for intended purpose. Can’t add cellular plan to watch so it’s just an activity tracker with text when connected to wi-fi. Can’t sync Bluetooth to Apple iPhone 11.

Volume is not loud enough for outdoor. I brought this for my father who doesn’t speak English. So I use the Chinese version of Siri. First the volume is not loud enough when i use outdoor. Second when I raise my hand to wake up Siri, it doesn’t work all the time. When I ask for directions to a restaurant in San Francisco or a bus schedule, It will give me the definition of the restaurant name and the bus line for Hk. The main reason I return this is because the volume is not loud enough for outdoor and Siri can’t wake up by raise hand. I went to Apple store to have them check on the watch. It is ok. Great Watch But Awful Battery Life. This is an amazing watch with unbelievable features. With all the technology in this watch, why can’t they develop a battery that will last longer than a day. Going to return it.

This is not a 5 star product. The Apple Watch is potentially some really great tech... maybe 3 years from now. But there are a lot of drawbacks and for being a series 5 product. We are still way in the early stages here guys.
You already know the pros... here are the things I wish I had known:
Battery: You are going to charge it everyday. Even turning off the always on screen it still doesn't ever make it beyond a full 24 hours. I waited until v5 to hopefully get a better option and it's still not there.
Wearing at night (for sleep tracking): Apple has nothing out of the box. You will have to buy an app if you really want good sleep data and tracking. Also something super annoying is that it is very difficult/buggy to get the damn watch to not turn on in the middle of the night while wearing it.
Screen uses: you can't do much with most apps. mainly quick check of various apps (like weather.)
Data visualization: Apple's heart tracking is pretty good. However the app UI/UX is pretty bad. 14 taps later in 4 different menus to find what you are looking for. Then the visualization tracking of data is not so great (especially compared to the fitbit app for example.) Want to see your heart rate over the course of a workout? Good luck with Apple.
Lift to speak - Siri still sucks on apple watch like she does on iphone.
Notifications - I miss a lot less notifications now. Surprisingly this has been a huge benefit. More than I imagined, and is almost the most valuable thing about apple watch.
Heart tracking - does a good job of recording data. All the native apple apps just suck at actually being able to see or sift through it.
Customizing watch screens. Not too bad. I went with the Nike version so there are a few more options there.
Pretty comfortable to wear - and I hate watches. I'm glad I went for the smaller version (40mm though)
Apple echo-system - if you've got iphone, etc.. it keeps everything together.
All said, i'd probably go for the Fitbit Charge at 1/4 the price and wait. Fitbit's app is better and tracking of biometrics is pretty much the same. See on Amazonhttps://amzn.to/2WnVvUW
